Context?

I finally found (with the help of a reader) "The Gestalt Prayer" in Fritz Perls' book Gestalt Therapy Verbatim (Moab, UT: Real People Press, 1969), p. 4. However, Perls uses it as a final xxx for the introduction to the book, and so there is no explanation or context to help me understand whther Perls' in fact failed to take the responsibilities of karma into account,.

Moreover I'm not too interested in reading the whole book to look for them. I got exposed to enough of his philosophy in the 70s. It was useful in many ways but I'm glad now to have found an approach that feels more balanced and compassionate.

What do you think?

How does Perls approach our responsibility for our actions? The subject of compassion? Can you point me to any of his writing on these subjects?
