A friend asked on an esangha list, "Where are the grandmothers to tell us the story of how they attained enlightenment under the very conditions we labour in?"
Later another member mentioned a prophecy from an elder of the Hopi Nation, which encourages people to take responsibility, to make the changes we see needed, not to expect others somehow better qualified to take up the task of healing the world: "We are the ones we have been waiting for."
After I took both those messages in, I decided that we have to start writing our own grandmother stories. This section of SkyDancer is for the tales I would like to have heard, to teach me how to dance on sky. The tales some grandmother muse is whispering in my dreams.
