This magazine presents a moderately broad field of the varieties of Buddhism, with lively discussion among them — and information about what Western feminists are doing to interpret Buddhism for our culture. In 1996, when I began this site, most of the entries in my bibliography started as leads from Tricycle. You can check out the online version here, but it doesn't show everything in the print edition. Plus the hardcopy art is outstanding.

In 2001, I have let my subscription lapse. Not because I don't like the magazine; I still recommend it. But the glossy color print smells too strong for my chemical sensitivities these days. With the help of friends, I seem to find enough more than enough to read without exposing myself to glossy magazines.
